For Creators

Submit With Creation Co-op

Creation Co-op welcomes submissions that reflect faithful, imaginative engagement with Christian creation care. We publish articles, practical guides, poetry, book reviews, visual art, photography, and other creative works that help Christians think more deeply—and live more faithfully—in relationship with God’s creation.

We are especially interested in contributions that translate theology into everyday practice: pieces that are rooted in the Christian tradition, accessible to a general audience, and oriented toward hope, stewardship, and responsible action. Our aim is not academic debate, but thoughtful reflection that can be received by churches, families, and individuals seeking to care for creation as part of discipleship.

Submissions are primarily intended for adults, though we are also glad to consider work by teenagers, particularly creative writing, reflections, artwork, or photography that express emerging voices of faith and care for the earth.

If you are interested in contributing, please review our contributor guidelines below and spend some time browsing recent posts to get a sense of our tone and scope. When you’re ready, begin by proposing your idea through the submission process outlined here.

Creator Guidelines:

Originality

We ask that submissions be original and unpublished, not previously posted elsewhere. Limited exceptions may be made upon prior approval.

Revisions of student or academic work is welcomed.

If a piece first appears on Creation Co-op and you later wish to adapt it elsewhere, we ask that you wait one year from the original publication date.

Format

We welcome a wide range of submissions, including articles, reflections, poetry, book reviews, visual art, photography, and other creative media that can be shared on our website.

Articles & Guides

Articles typically range from 750–1,500 words. Book reviews are usually 500–700 words.

Key notes

  • All submissions must be in Word
  • DO NOT USE FOOTNOTES
  • When citations are needed, Chicago style is preferred, though we can work with other formats
  • Please list references at the end of the piece, and use [1] to refer to references (see example here)

Poetry & Creative Writing:
Length is flexible. Because our platform has limited formatting options, pieces that rely heavily on spacing or visual layout may be published as images.

Visual Art & Photography:
Images should be high-resolution .jpg files.

Audio & Video:
If you would like to submit audio or video work, please contact us in advance to discuss technical details.

Usage of AI:

Creation Co-op publishes work created by human authors and artists. Artificial intelligence tools may be used for light editing or proofreading, but not for generating the core content of a submission.

Submission Process

Begin by proposing your idea via email to [email protected]. Please include a brief summary of your piece (3-5 sentences), author information with a short bio and relevant links, and a high-resolution headshot (head and shoulders). If we decide to publish your piece, you will be listed on our Contributors page along with your social media links (LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, Youtube, etc.).
